How lot sizes are set
SEBI sets a minimum contract value for equity derivatives, and the exchanges review lot sizes periodically so that one lot stays above it. When prices rise, lots shrink; when they fall, lots grow. A revision applies to new contract months, so the same stock can show two different lot sizes across the months listed. See how lots and premiums work.
